Timpsila is a Lakota word for prairie turnip. This plant is unique because it tends to grow in clusters or “communities”. This plant has long been a sign of unity amongst indigenous peoples. That is why we have chosen to call the aspect of our organization that is dedicated to bringing awareness of the physical, social and economic strife that affects the indigenous population the "Timpsila Project". We currently work with several organizations on and off of the reservation to bring about awareness of the conditions effecting our indiginous population. We have listed several links to left for you to click on and review as well as on this page. Please contact us if you have any questions or concers.
