Currently Aldo Seoane is working at White Buffalo Calf Woman Society based out of Rosebud South Dakota. There he is developing and implementing culturally relevant curriculum and activities that help to restore the tradition understandings surrounding respecting women and overall good health.

WBCWS has been in operation since 1974. They were the first domestic violence program to focus directly with a Native American population. They were also the first to be located on a reservation.

WBCWS’s work is mainly focused on victim services but in more recent years WBCWS has began to focus on awareness and in addressing the legal loop holes that allow perpetrators to escape prosecution.  WBCWS works closely with the RST tribe and its various departments and programs.

Aldo Seoane’s current focus is on the Engaging Men Grant a VAWA/ DOJ sponsored grant. This grant focuses on developing men and young boys in to becoming allies for women in the fight to end domestic, sexual, teen dating violence. Be reintroducing values that reestablish proper behavior he hopes to provide a new sense of cultural pride that will lead to social change.
